No one would exchange something brand new, shiny, and clean for something old, dirty, and broken. No one takes an old broken car to a dealership and leaves with a brand new one without paying something. No one would exchange their brand-new cellphone for an old, out-of-date model. Everyone is looking for the next best thing. It’s difficult to find someone willing to take something new and exchange it for something old.
However, this is exactly what God does with us. Imagine there was a place where you could take every old, negative, dirty, evil thing that has happened in your life and exchange it for a new, happy, and peaceful one. That place exists—it is called the Altar.
“Then I will go to the altar of God, To God my exceeding joy; And on the harp I will praise You, O God, my God.” Psalms 43:4
No matter what state your life may be in right now. The moment you take it to the Altar, you make an exchange with God for a life that praises Him. What has been your shame and dismay? Bring it to the Altar today. Find an Altar near you and begin living the new life God has for you.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
