In Matthew 19:24, Jesus says, “Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”

This verse is a reminder that salvation—the eternal life we receive through faith in Christ—is worth more than anything else we could ever achieve or own. Everything we build on earth will one day fade. But the gift of salvation is eternal, unshakable, and freely given to those who believe.

There is much more to it than just monetary riches. Many people are financially struggling, but something has taken first place in their life, and that thing has become their treasure here on earth. They have put it before everything else in their life, and it is their most important thing. What is yours?

When we begin to prioritize other things—comfort, status, even good works—above our relationship with God, we risk building our lives on sand instead of the solid rock. It’s not that these things are bad, but they should never come before the One who truly saves.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
