When we play a game, whatever it may be, our goal is to win! Since childhood, we’ve all been trained to be first. After all, no one wants to lose, even if it’s just a game. But what if I told you that in life, you need to lose to win? Strange, right? But this is the plain truth.
See what the Bible says:
“For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.” Mark 8:35
To have a life with God, we must “lose,” meaning we have to say no to many things: parties, addictions, lies, our desires, traditions, and many other things that our flesh craves and finds pleasure in. To human eyes, this is madness, but to God’s eyes, this is victory! Set aside what distances you from God and gain a new life.
We need to lose the pleasures and achievements of the world to gain eternal life with God. Do this and be a true winner.
