Our face acts as a mirror for our emotions. Every moment of joy produces a smile, moments of sadness produce tears, and everything in between produces its own reflection on our face. There was a man named Nehemiah whose troubles were reflected in his face.
“Therefore the king said to me, “Why is your face sad, since you are not sick? This is nothing but sorrow of heart.”
Nehemiah 2:2
His body may have been healthy, but his faith was down. In life, we will, unfortunately, always be faced with disappointments and bad news. For example, nobody goes to the doctor, receives bad news, and comes out smiling and laughing. That isn’t the common reaction, but faith isn’t a common thing. Faith ensures that although we cannot avoid facing problems on the outside, we can avoid facing problems from within.
Perhaps you are facing a problem right now, and it is reflected on your face everywhere you go. People are always asking, “What’s wrong?” Don’t wear your problems like a mask, Do not let them frustrate you. Your problems will not defeat you. Find that strength from within (faith) and fight back! Remember that God is with you.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
