When was the last time you faced a problem? Maybe you are saying to yourself, “What a silly question.” Because the truth is, we face problems every day. Whether it be something as small as running late for work or something as dire as an illness, issues appear in many shapes and sizes for everyone, regardless of the person’s color, creed, or class.
Unfortunately for many, those problems are followed by something that cuts so deep to the soul and is also not a respecter of color, creed, or class: Anxiety.
Anxiety is a curse—a plague that has spread all over. When a person struggles with anxiety, it’s more than a feeling of worry or fear. It is a deep sadness, a feeling of complete lack of control. Anxiety has taken its hold over millions of people. But, of course, how can one solve a problem without first knowing its source?
“Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, but a good word makes it glad.” Proverbs 12:25
Anxiety is caused by the same evil that causes depression. In fact, it is one of the first steps towards it, a stepping stone to the intense and gripping hold of depression. Maybe you’ve been convinced this is something you have to live with forever. There is a solution.
The solution is the Word. The Word of God brings life.
The Word of God strengthens you to remain in peace no matter what this world may throw against you.
Don’t allow anxiety to overtake you and steal your life from you. Spend time getting to know the Word of God; the relief it brings is eternal.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
