Have you ever had a day when everything looked fine from the outside, yet something deep inside felt heavy—almost too heavy to describe? We smile for photos, show up for work, keep conversations polite… but underneath, our hearts carry a different story. Many of us know what it’s like to live with an inner sorrow that doesn’t always match the face we present to the world.

The Bible shows us that Jesus understands this kind of pain. In Matthew 26:38, on the night before His crucifixion, Jesus says, “Then He said to them, ‘My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death…” Even the Son of God felt a grief so deep it reached the very core of His being. He didn’t hide it. He didn’t minimize it. He spoke it and brought it before God.

This reminds us that healing doesn’t begin on the outside. Sure, there are remedies for physical pain. But there is no surgery to fix a broken soul. It begins with bringing our sorrow into the presence of the One who already sees it.

Jesus heals from the inside out.

He doesn’t just polish the surface of our lives; He reaches into the parts that no one can see. When we come to Him with the same honesty He showed in Gethsemane, we’re met not with judgment, but with comfort and restoration.

Your inner sorrow is not too much for Him. This Sunday, find The Universal Church nearest to you and trade your sorrow for true joy.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
