No one likes getting bad news. Especially, when that bad news comes with what seems like a life sentence. When a person hears that they will have to take medication for the rest of their life, that there is no cure for their illness, or that it’s something that cannot be helped.
This is where the second opinion comes in. If you hear ‘no’ one thousand times then certainly you will keep searching for that one ‘yes’. This is the case for many people. The brightest doctors try their best to help medically but cannot find a solution. At some point, we must look to the spiritual.
When a person suffers from a spiritual infirmity there are a few signs to look out for. For example, they feel sick constantly but multiple tests show there is nothing physically wrong with them. A person suffers from the same sickness as their father, and his father before him, generations have suffered with the same ailment.
However, there is a solution. You who can identify that you may be suffering from a spiritual infirmity need to search for your second opinion by faith. The Word of God says that we are already healed through the Lord Jesus. In the face of bad news, make Him your first and last opinion.
“Surely he has borne our infirmities
and carried our diseases;”
Isaiah 53:4
