Think of the best gift you’ve ever received. How would you repay the person who gave it to you? Perhaps as their special day approached, you would be racking your brain to think of what to get them. We are so willing to pay back the physical, but there are gifts money can’t buy.
“What shall I render to the Lord For all His benefits toward me? I will take up the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord.” Psalms 116:12-13
What can repay the salvation that comes from God? Giving all that we are to Him is the only compensation we have available.
There’s no special day to wait for in order to do this. You can turn everything you are over to Him right now if you choose to. He freely gives to us. Maybe in the past, you’ve received gifts, already knowing you would have to make a big gesture to repay the person who gave it to you.
However, with God, there’s no big gesture or show that needs to be put on. He simply asks for you to give the only thing you have with all the greatest value: your life.
