Happy New Year! It is day one of 2024. Tomorrow will be day two, and by the end of the week, you will have experienced one week of a new year. You are hoping that a new year also means a new you and a new life.
That is the hope, but for many, maybe even you, it just meant one more day on a new calendar. But what if you could start all over and have a brand-new life? First, you have to make space for the new. That means getting rid of the old, the old life, habits, thoughts, desires, and wills. You won’t need those old things anymore. God wants to give you a new life. He won’t refresh or refurbish the old one; He will simply give you a brand-new one.
Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new…” Revelation 21:5
A new family, a new mind, new health, a new financial life. A new you! Perhaps you have made your resolutions and set your goals. Don’t forget to include God in those plans. We plan, but He will allow us to see those plans through. Hand over the old, broken life. Forget about the failures of last year.
Today is the first day of your brand-new life.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
