Many things oppose God’s people to hinder their progress and stand in the way of what God has purposed for their lives.
Satan seeks to hinder the work of God, create obstacles, and oppose those who belong to the Lord.
The walls of Jericho stood as an obstacle before the children of Israel.
“Now Jericho was securely shut up because of the children of Israel; none went out, and none came in.” Joshua 6:1
Jericho was shut up because of the children of Israel. The city stood before them as an obstacle to possessing the land God had promised them.
In the same way, you may encounter obstacles at work, in your family, and in other areas of your life. You may face opposition, resistance, and barriers that seem designed to stop you from moving forward.
But remember this: the wall that stands before you does not have the final word when God has made a promise.
The walls of Jericho were strong, but they could not withstand the power of God.
The same God who brought down the walls of Jericho is able to make a way where there seems to be no way.
For with God nothing will be impossible. (Luke 1:37)
