Have you ever had someone promise to do something for you, only for them to forget or never follow through? It can be disappointing, especially when you were counting on them. However, we must remember that people can fail us, even when they have good intentions. God, on the other hand, never fails.
Hebrews 10:23 (NKJV) reminds us, “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”
Think about a time when you were waiting for an important package to arrive. Even if it took longer than expected, you held on to the expectation that it would come because you had guarantees, tracking, receipts; you believed the delivery wouldn’t fail. In the same way, we must hold on to our faith, even when God’s promises because He also guarantees our victory in His Word.
There may be times when we become discouraged because things are taking longer than we expected. But our faith should not depend on how quickly we see results. God is faithful, even when we cannot see what He is doing.
Hold fast to your faith. People may forget their promises, circumstances may change, and plans may fall apart, but God remains the same. Whatever you are waiting on Him for, continue to trust Him. The One who made the promise is faithful to fulfill it.
