Many have experienced moments when life doesn’t go according to plan. In those moments, it’s easy to focus on what we can see and begin wondering how things will work out.
Yet faith reminds us to look beyond our circumstances and remember who God is.
“And the Lord said to Moses, ‘Has the Lord’s arm been shortened? Now you shall see whether what I say will happen to you or not.'” (Numbers 11:23)
God spoke these words when the Israelites questioned whether He could provide for them in the wilderness. From a human perspective, their situation seemed impossible. But God reminded Moses that His power is never limited by human circumstances.
The same truth applies to us today. The Lord’s hand is not shortened. He is not constrained by the obstacles we face, the resources we lack, or the time limits we struggle to meet. What appears impossible to us is fully within His ability.
Faith does not mean pretending difficulties don’t exist. It means trusting that God is greater than those difficulties. It means believing that His promises remain true even when we cannot yet see how they will be fulfilled.
When you find yourself worrying about the future or questioning whether God is working in your situation, remember His question to Moses: “Has the Lord’s arm been shortened?” The answer is still no. The God who provided in the wilderness, parted seas, and fulfilled His promises throughout Scripture is the same God who walks with us today.
His hand is not shortened. His power has not diminished. His faithfulness has not changed.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
