It’s easy to believe our voices get lost in the noise—that our prayers are too small, too late, or somehow not worthy of attention. But the Word of God reminds us that when we call out to God, He doesn’t hesitate to listen.
Psalm 141:1 says, “Lord, I cry out to You; Make haste to me! Give ear to my voice when I cry out to You.”
There is urgency in those words—make haste to me. And the truth is that God responds with that same urgency. He is not distant or distracted. He is near, attentive, and responsive, like a loving father who moves quickly when his child calls.
Think about a moment when you’ve called out for someone—maybe in a moment of stress, fear, or simply needing help. There’s something instinctive about that cry. You don’t stop to make it perfect; you just call. And when someone who cares about you hears it, they come.
And this promise isn’t reserved for pastors, deacons, or those in spiritual roles. God doesn’t measure the worthiness of a voice before He listens. He hears anyone who calls on Him with sincerity. Whether your faith feels strong or fragile, whether your words are eloquent or simple, He is listening.
You don’t need a title. You don’t need perfect language. You just need to call.
So today, don’t hold back. Cry out to Him. He hears you, and He draws near more quickly than you might expect.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
