There are moments in life when the challenges seem immovable—like towering walls that refuse to come down. Whether it’s financial stress, sickness, relationship struggles, uncertainty, or simply feeling overwhelmed, we’ve all faced situations that seem bigger than we are.

But just as God told Joshua, He tells you today: “And the Lord said to Joshua: ‘See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor.” (Joshua 6:2)

Notice the wording: I have delivered. Before the battle even began, before the walls fell, before a single shout was raised—God had already declared the victory.

It may not feel like it. In fact, it probably feels the opposite. Imagine someone working hard, doing everything they can to stay afloat, yet bills keep piling up, and unexpected problems keep appearing. It’s easy in those moments to feel defeated, like the situation is out of control. But what if, just like Jericho, the very thing that seems to stand against you has already been placed into your hands?

You are no longer standing powerless before your problem; you are standing with authority over it, even if you don’t yet see the outcome.
Joshua still had to march. The walls didn’t fall on day one. There was obedience, patience, and persistence involved. Likewise, overcoming the challenges in your life often requires you to keep going.

So whatever you’re facing, don’t let its size intimidate you. Remember whose hands it’s in—and whose hands you’re in. The same God who gave Jericho to Joshua has not changed.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
