Responding to spiritual issues with physical reactions is easy: anger, arguments, revenge, or harsh words. But the Bible reminds us of a deeper truth: “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12
When we fight people instead of the spiritual root behind the problem, we miss the real battle.
Think about a common real-life situation: a misunderstanding at work. A coworker speaks harshly, spreads rumors, or treats you unfairly. The natural response is to snap back, defend yourself aggressively, or hold a grudge. However, when we pause and think about the root, we begin to see that the issue may not be the person—it could be a spiritual opposition at work.
Responding in faith, in the spirit, resolves any situation.
As believers, God calls us to fight differently. We fight with Him ahead of us. When we stop trying to win spiritual battles with physical reactions and instead put on the full armor of God, we allow Him to fight for us—and His victory is always greater than our own.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
