Some rules and regulations regarding dual citizenship differ in many countries. Even so, many people opt to give up their nationality for another because they see that the benefits far outweigh the cons. To put it simply, you can’t hold onto both; a decision must be made.
Not just regarding dual citizenship, but a similar example: a soccer game. The referee normally tosses a coin and asks each side, “Heads or tails?” Imagine one side saying, “Both!” That game could never start because it must be one or the other; it cannot be both.
Let’s say a fan wears two T-shirts to a game: one for each team. When one side scores, he takes off the outer shirt and runs around cheering for that side. And when the other team scores, he puts back their shirt and runs around cheering for them. I believe the other fans would look at him strangely and even shout at him to choose one side!
That might sound funny, but there is a very serious matter that needs to be addressed: the Kingdom of Light vs. the Kingdom of Darkness. Everyone knows what behaviors can be described for the Kingdom of Darkness, and likewise, the behaviors of those in the Kingdom of Light. In biblical times, a nation was called to make a decision: light or darkness?
And Elijah came to all the people, and said, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people answered him not a word. (1 Kings 18:21)
This question is presented to you today: What will you choose: the Kingdom of Light or the Kingdom of Darkness? Better than your words, your actions will show your decision!
There is no option for dual citizenship in this matter; choose wisely.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
