We’ve all had moments we wish we could rewind: times when we felt embarrassed, discouraged by our circumstances, or simply lost. Maybe it was a conversation that didn’t go as planned, a decision that backfired, or a year where nothing seemed to make sense. In those moments, it’s easy to believe that God must be distant, disappointed, or silent. But the Bible tells us differently.

Isaiah 57:15 reminds us that God is near:

“I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit…”

This verse shows us that the God who reigns over eternity also chooses to be close to those who feel broken. When you’re down, ashamed, or unsure of your way forward, God isn’t pushing you away—He’s drawing near. He meets us at our level. He revives and restores us.

As lights are being hung up around the world and people prepare to celebrate the end of another year, you might be one of many whose souls are still in darkness. There is no light within your soul, but God wants to change that.

If you’re feeling lost today, take comfort in this truth: God is already there with you.

You are never too low for God to reach you.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
