Think about building a house. Everyone knows that if the foundation is weak, the house won’t last. Even though I’m not a builder, it’s easy to see that when the base moves, everything starts to crack. Life works the same way: when what we build on isn’t solid, everything else falls apart.
“Anyone who hears my words and obeys them is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came, the rivers rose, and the winds blew and hit that house; but it did not fall, because it was built on the rock.” (Matthew 7:24–25)
It’s a clear picture: a house on sand falls, but a house on rock stands firm. The same happens in life. If we build our lives on things that change, like money, popularity, or feelings, we’ll fall when problems come. However, if our foundation is strong and steady, we’ll stand even in hard times.
It’s not complicated. Just like a builder pays attention to the base before anything else, we need to pay attention to what we’re building our lives on. Good choices, patience, and strong values are like concrete; they keep everything steady.
So, ask yourself: Is my life built on sand or on rock? Because when storms come, and they always do, the foundation is what decides whether we stand or fall.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
