Have you ever had one of those moments in life where everything felt like a wave coming over you that you can’t escape?
You’re doing your best, but the waves just keep coming—bills, pressure, grief, uncertainty, exhaustion. You smile through it, but inside, you’re wondering, “God, where are You in all this?”

Isaiah 43:1–2 reminds us that we are not alone:

But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.

It’s God saying, “Do not be afraid. You are Mine”
Notice that God doesn’t say, “If you pass through the waters or the fire.”
He says, “When.”

This means challenging moments are a part of life, but they don’t define us—and we never face them alone. When the waters rise, God doesn’t stand at a distance, shouting directions from the shore.
He steps right into the flood with you.

When life feels like fire—intense, painful, and consuming—He promises that the flames won’t destroy you. The same God who formed you, who calls you by name, is still holding you steady in the storm.
So, if you’re feeling alone right now, don’t be afraid.
You are seen.
You are known.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
