When an artist looks at a rough block of stone, most people only see something ordinary, hard, unshaped, and without beauty. But the sculptor sees what others don’t. Within that block, he sees the form of a masterpiece waiting to emerge; the sculptor cannot shape the stone unless the stone stays still under his touch.
“Listen to Me, you who follow after righteousness,
You who seek the Lord:
Look to the rock from which you were hewn,
And to the hole of the pit from which you were dug.
Look to Abraham your father,
And to Sarah who bore you;
For I called him alone,
And blessed him and increased him.” (Isaiah 51:1–2)
In the same way, your life may seem broken, rough, or shapeless today. You might look at yourself and see only the cracks, the mistakes, regrets, fears, and failures. But God sees beyond that. He sees the image of Christ that can emerge when you surrender yourself fully to His hands.
Before Abraham became the father of nations, he was just one man, a “block of stone” in the eyes of the world. But when he allowed God to work in his life, God began to carve, shape, and transform him into something far greater than he could ever be on his own.
That is exactly what God desires to do in the life of anyone who opens their heart to Him.
When we trust the divine Sculptor, our broken, unshaped life becomes a living testimony of His grace. What was once just a rock becomes a masterpiece.
Dear reader, come to The Universal Church nearest you and decide to surrender to Him. The Lord will do to you what He did to Abraham and all those who surrender to Him.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
