We live in a cold world, and it’s getting colder day by day. Nowadays, this is how many people live: me, myself, and I! Human beings most often do not care to do good for others. When they have the power in their hands to do it, they withhold!
We live in a world where it’s every person for themselves; people often don’t care about their neighbors. In the Ten Commandments, we read, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” But you might ask, “Who is my neighbor? Is it the person next door beside my house? Or in the same building?” Your neighbors are those who need salvation: Your neighbors are those who need the Lord Jesus Christ!
This world is contrary to the Word of God, which instructs us:
Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
When it is in the power of your hand to do so.
Do not say to your neighbor,
“Go, and come back,
And tomorrow I will give it,”
When you have it with you.
(Proverbs 3:27-28)
We live in a dog-eat-dog world! People often only care about themselves, looking for the number one, and forgetting about others! You don’t need to be that person; what about you helping somebody to know Jesus? Helping someone isn’t limited to providing food, clothing, or money; it also involves sharing what you have.—If you have the light, share it with others!
Remember the Bible verse above:
Do not say to your neighbor,
“Go, and come back,
And tomorrow I will give it,”
When you have it with you.
