Have you ever been in a courtroom or even seen one on television? The entire room is at the mercy of the judge and, at times, a jury. That judge faces case after case each day, and one by one, people plead their case, hoping for a good outcome. This idea goes beyond the courtroom. Many people find themselves relying on others at various times in their lives. Their fate is determined by one person because they put themselves at their mercy.
This was Hannah’s case until she decided to take matters into her own hands and go directly to the Judge of judges. Year after year, she would do the same routine, depend on the prayers of others, and live depending on her husband’s sacrifices until the day she changed the protocol.
She went straight to the Altar and had her hearing with God. You are free to do the same. Agreeing in prayer with others is a blessing. However, when there is no pastor or prayer partner around, who will you turn to? When things are tough and no one feels the burden as you do, only you will truly know the weight of your cryout.
“And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the Lord and wept in anguish. Then she made a vow…” 1 Samuel 1:10-11
When you go before God, you will not leave the same; your countenance will be different, and your soul will already notice the change that God is preparing for you.
“So the woman went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad.” 1 Samuel 1:18
