How many times have you heard this throughout your lifetime?
Typically, we use this word with children at a surprise birthday party or any event where something is unexpectedly given to them.
An example is a teenager who usually receives a transportation allowance from their parent. Imagine a day when a teen expects their usual transportation allowance, only to receive the keys to a new car!
Now they don’t need to wait for travel allowance. They can now travel independently! Can you imagine the excitement of that teen, knowing they have been granted access to travel multiple times for the month? Going places that the travel allowance couldn’t take them.
There was a man in Bible days who got a surprise!
Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” (Acts 3:6)
He was expecting some coins as usual, but he got something more valuable than coins. He received the key to unlock his faith! He received his total healing. He could go whenever he pleased, and he could run, walk, or swim, work, or start his own business. No more asking for coins, no more waiting on people! He had no more limitations.
Surprise! Today is your day! Silver and gold I do not have, but in the name of Jesus Christ, receive the key of faith to unlock your blessings. Go ahead and use your faith, and conquer whatever you need right now.
You are now UBBified and a part of the UBB family!
I look forward to your response.
May the God of the Bible bless you,
Bishop Bira Joshua
