When we walk into something unprepared, it can feel like an uphill battle. Like, walking into an exam you didn’t study for. It would be nice to have all the answers all the time, but that often isn’t the case.

Like in the case of Moses, he is known as the deliverer of Israel, but his story started with a calling he wasn’t prepared for.

And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed. Then Moses said, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.”

So when the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!”

And he said, “Here I am.” Exodus 3:2-4

His life began as a Hebrew. He then went on to be considered a son to Pharaoh, and now he had once again taken a new course, but God had a plan for him. Perhaps you have also had your own twists and turns in life, but there is a calling that God has put within you to serve Him more. Do not ignore that calling.

God may not be before you in the image of a burning bush, but He is speaking. Do not be concerned about being unprepared. Even Moses was concerned, but God assured him that He would be with him.

He will also be with you. When you renounce your plans for God’s plans, He equips you.

So He said, “I will certainly be with you…” Exodus 3:12

May the God of the Bible bless you!
