Before we speak about the mind of Christ, let us consider a mind that is the opposite of His—one filled with doubt, negativity, judgment, evil thoughts, grudges, and hatred. That may sound extreme, but a mind that doesn’t know Christ is vulnerable to this kind of mindset. After all, our minds must be occupied with something—they never stop. Even as we sleep, our minds continue to work; we have thoughts and dreams while our bodies rest.
In a world full of chaos, betrayal, and tragedy, our minds should be a place of peace. Unfortunately, this is not the case for many.
So, how can we have the mind of Christ within us?
“For ‘who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?’ But we have the mind of Christ.” 1 Corinthians 2:16
Only through the Holy Spirit can we receive the mind of Christ. Our mind is, in fact, tied to our spirit. So when we exchange our old mindset for the mind of Christ—the Spirit of God—our thoughts are transformed. We become new versions of ourselves, and our minds become places of peace.
Seek the Spirit of God. Even more, seek to know His mind by reading His Word. Reading the Bible is like catching a glimpse of God’s thoughts. What a privilege!
May the God of the Bible bless you!
