Do you know someone with a Parakeet? Have you ever owned a Parakeet? If you have, then you know their ability to mimic.
If you say hello, it will say hello. If you say other things, it will mimic you in the same way, but it is not looking for an action to back that word; for them, it is just words to be mimicked!—When it comes to Christians, just knowing and quoting Bible scriptures without understanding and seeing their benefits is pretty much the same thing.
We can not use the Bible or Scripture religiously, meaning we can not just quote the Bible. Many people quote the Bible, reciting the Word of God, but they do not see it in their own lives. For example, Let’s look at these well-known Bible verses and how people tend to use them.
They say, “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.” However, they live a miserable life! They say, “Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’” But they are weak. They have been weak! They say, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” But in their very lives, they can not accomplish anything. Their lives are stuck.
I want you to know that we must use the Bible, the Word of God, with faith! Not in a religious way! This message is not to put you down but to awaken your faith!
I want you to use your faith, not your Bible knowledge, to overcome this problem. Don’t just say, “By Jesus’ stripes I am healed” while you are coping with a disease or getting sicker and sicker. You must be revolted!
Gideon had this revolted faith. When the angel appeared to him and said, “The LORD is with you, valiant warrior.” Gideon replied, “O my lord, if the LORD is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about…” (Judges 6:13)
In other words, “What about me? What about my life?” That was Gideon’s revolt because he was already seven years inside a cave! When he revolted, he showed genuine faith, pure faith.
Then God manifested Himself in his life! God took him out of the cave after seven years! Now it’s your time. Come out of the cave! Do not just know the Bible; it must be a reality in your life. Do not religiously use the Bible.
Starting today, when you quote a Bible verse, believe and fight for it to be materialized in your life. After all, there are more than eight thousand promises available for you.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
