Everyone knows the feeling of being rejected—Whether it be rejection from a promotion, the school of your dreams, a love interest, or even rejection from family. At one time or another, we have all experienced the disappointment of rejection. To state it clearly, it is not a good feeling. No one likes feeling rejected.
Perhaps that is what you are experiencing right now. Family has given up on you; it seems as though financially you are going nowhere; life has become lonely, and it seems like you are on an island all by yourself. Know that you are not alone. There is someone far greater than us who experienced rejection and overcame.
His rejection was by no means small; in fact, He was despised by many, and even today still is.
“He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.” Isaiah 53:3
Today, the Lord Jesus is still despised, but He overcame here on Earth, and so will you. This rejection that you are feeling is not the end. Who better to help you with this than the Lord Jesus Himself? If you have been feeling despised, rejected, lonely, or forgotten, be sure He has not forgotten you. Right now, you can turn to Him, and He will turn to you. You are not alone.
