Can a house built on sand withstand a storm? The simplest answer is no. When the winds blow and the rain falls, it will collapse. However, many people build their lives on unstable foundations, expecting them to last.
“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock.” Matthew 7:24
Jesus was speaking to His disciples, teaching them that hearing the Word is not enough—one must put it into practice. A foundation built on anything other than obedience to God will crumble under pressure. Many, even today, claim to believe in God but live according to their own desires, making choices based on emotions rather than faith.
The sand represents this world—unstable, unreliable, constantly shifting. But Jesus promised that those who build on the rock, which is His Word, will stand firm no matter what comes their way. Imagine living a life where nothing shakes you because you are grounded in God.
There is no challenge you cannot overcome and no obstacle that can bring you down because Jesus will be your foundation, holding you up through every storm.
