Have you ever been tired? Truly exhausted? Not a physical tiredness but a fatigue deep within the soul. The tiredness that makes you weary of life, life’s hardships, depressed, and desperate to leave everything behind. If you see 10 people today, at least 1 of those people are depressed. Among youth, that number is cut in half, with 1 in every five young adults battling depression.
Maybe you are part of this statistic. However, you don’t have to be. Elijah found himself in this state when faced with a difficult problem.
(…) And he prayed that he might die, and said, “It is enough! Now, LORD, take my life, for I am no better than my fathers!” (1 Kings 19:4)
Maybe this is your case: you’ve lost so much, life has been too much, loved ones have passed, and it feels like you have already passed with them. You walk around like everyone else, but you are this one among the 10 people.
You think your only solution is giving your life up. Instead, hand your life over. Give it over to God as is. Hand over the old, broken life, the tiredness, emptiness, and sadness that you feel to Him, and let Him give you a new one. You are much more than a statistic in God’s eyes. Your life is important to Him, and He has the power to make you new.
Visit your local Universal Church this Sunday, no matter how near or far, because a solution awaits you.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
