Think back to when you were in school, the times when you had to choose partners for a special project or choose teammates to play a sport. You will notice that the team leaders always chose the children they thought were the most athletic, the fastest, or the smartest. They chose those who they knew stood out from the rest. In their minds, they made a separation among their classmates.

The word of God also speaks about a separation that the Lord Jesus will make. It says:

“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:” (Matthew 25: 31-34)

Which side do you want to be? Keep in mind that the sheep that the word of God refers to are those who follow Jesus, those who, despite all that the world has to offer them, made the decision to follow the Word of God. Now answer that question because the answer comes now. It doesn’t come on the last day when Jesus is separating us.

No, it comes to us every day. Every day, we must choose if we will be the sheep or if we will be the goat. Today, will you choose to be a follower of the Lord Jesus, denying yourself and living a life that pleases God? or those who were on the left? Fortunately, you have the opportunity to make this choice right now. God is so merciful that every day He gives us an opportunity to choose. Today, let’s make that choice wisely.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
