Lack of sleep can have detrimental effects on a person’s life. It can cause both physical and emotional problems.
There are a number of reasons a person can be losing sleep: awaiting an exciting day for example, or preparing for something important. These moments are only temporary. But when the lack of sleep is caused by worries, doubts, fears, and the uncertainties of life, then no amount of time can put that in mind at ease.
Have you ever or are you right now experiencing this? Tossing and turning at night because there are just so many things happening in your life? When you close your eyes all you can see are the problems. Before a new day even begins your mind is already racing, thinking about all of the things you have to do. You worry about your family, your health, your job, you even have nightmares about terrible things. It has started taking a toll on you.
May this Word put your mind at ease:
In peace I will lie down and sleep,
for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe.
Psalm 4:8
You are safe. Those who trust in God do not need to fear tomorrow or listen to the voice of uncertainty. If you have been battling with uncertainty, then make this challenge to repeat this Word before you close your eyes at night. Sleep in Peace.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
