If you were to get a brand-new car and find something wrong with it, where would you go? Back to where you bought it, of course. There’s no place better to fix what is broken than where it originated. This even applies to the smallest of things. When something that should be in great shape gives out on us, we go to where we got it from and demand it to get fixed or replaced. The same principle applies to our bodies.

“For I will restore health to you
And heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord,”
Jeremiah 30:17

There are many tips for staying healthy these days. Eat well, exercise, drink lots of water, and so on. Nowadays, the list has grown profoundly. There is so much to do. Perhaps you can remember the last great new health kick you went on. We quickly search high and low for tips and tricks to keep our body in tip-top shape, but often forget about taking ourselves back to the One who created us.

The Lord has promised not only health but to heal your wounds—regardless if they are skin deep or go all the way to your soul. He did not create you to be sick or broken. If right now your body has fallen into the hands of sickness or you are marked by physical or spiritual wounds, bring this problem to God. He created you, and He has the authority to restore you.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
