Everything nowadays has a shortcut. Instead of talking about how you feel, you can use a symbol to describe your feelings. Typing out your feelings is a thing of the past, you have an emoji for every feeling these days:

😁 Happy
😔 Sad
😬 Scared
🥰 In love
😠 Angry
🤨 Suspicious

This way of communication has affected this generation by making it difficult to communicate with children face to face. They have no words to explain how they are feeling!

You may communicate with your family and friends with emojis, but when it comes to God you don’t need to use emojis. He can see deep within your broken heart and when you cry out to Him, He sees and answers your cry.

Hannah was misunderstood.

And it happened, as she continued praying before the Lord, that Eli watched her mouth. Now Hannah spoke in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard. Therefore Eli thought she was drunk. So Eli said to her, “How long will you be drunk? Put your wine away from you!” (1 Samuel 1:12-14)

Don’t be concerned about what people think of your actions, be concerned about calling the attention of God. When you are in bitterness of soul, pour it all out to Him. You don’t need to use emojis to express yourself, just keep it real.

The people who see your sad countenance will also see the shine on your face when your answer comes from the Lord.

” …So the woman went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad.” (1 Samuel 1:18)

No emojis are needed, your life will show the glory of the God of the Bible!

May the God of the Bible bless you,

Bishop Bira Joshua
