We all have some kind of food that we don’t like. Maybe for you, it’s certain vegetables, or a certain kind of meat, or bread, but everyone has foods that they don’t like. But probably you also have foods that you don’t like, that you never tasted. Think back, have you ever seen a food and just thought it looked nasty and didn’t even want to try it? You said and maybe still say that you don’t like it, but you’ve never even tasted it.

The truth of the matter is, it’s not that you don’t like that food that you never tasted. You don’t know if you like it or not, because you don’t know how it tastes. If you actually taste it, then you will know if it is good or not.

The same applies when it comes to God. Many people have their opinion about God, but most of these same people do not even know God to make a fair assessment. And I mean a good or bad assessment. How can I say that God is good, if I have never experienced His goodness? How can I say that God is not real or that He is cruel, if I have never tasted His works? I can’t! I don’t know what I’m talking about. The Bible says:

“Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good;”Psalm 34:8

There is only one way to know if God is good or not… if God does miracles or not… if God can change your life or not… The only way is to “taste and see”. Meaning, you have to put His word to the test. Test it, challenge it by obeying it and see if it works in your life. In that moment, you will be able to confirm if it truly is good or not.

Are you ready for the “taste test”?

May the God of the Bible Bless You
