One day I was talking to a colleague of mine and he was telling me the story of someone he met who left their country to come to the U.S. because someone told her that she needed to fight for the American Dream. This was fourteen years ago.

Think about it, fourteen years ago the person left the country and came to America and spent fourteen years here illegal, working a crummy job. Now the person received a letter from the immigration office saying to leave the country and she only had twenty one days to do so.

She had faith in the words of a friend who said lets go to America for the American Dream. She left on that word and stayed fourteen years without papers and was sent back. But it took a lot of courage for her to actually leave in the first place with no promise or guarantee that it would work.

My point is, many people have faith to obey the voice of a friend or a doctor or a co-worker or a lawyer, but they do not have faith to obey the Voice of God.

If you are willing and obedient,

You shall eat the good of the land; Isaiah 1:19

This is the secret… this is the key. If you are willing and obedient. We must have a willingness to follow God’s direction because He knows what’s best for us. And we must obey Him no matter how hard. When we do that, our life is guaranteed to flourish. That’s how we learn to conquer.

May the God of the Bible Bless You
