Take a look at this statue, what do you see? What is the first thing that comes to your mind? Well, you may say, he looks empty, or he looks like something is missing or you may even say that he has a big hole inside of him. One thing is for sure my friend – there is something missing, and you can see that!

This is how the human being is when he or she does not have the presence of God inside of them. But please, allow me to explain it further.

Why are there so many people addicted to drugs? Why are there so many people going to the nightclubs, getting drunk, sleeping around, etc., but they are not happy? Why are there so many people suffering from depression? Did the drugs, alcohol, partying, etc., bring true satisfaction? Of course not! Because if it did, then the number of people suffering from depression would be zero. The truth is, none of these things can truly fill the void that exists inside.

The only way to truly be filled inside is to have a relationship with God. He is the only One that can fill the void inside of you. By having communion with God, in other words, by receiving the Holy Spirit, that void, empty feeling no longer exists!

“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” (John 6:63)

With the Holy Spirit, you will no longer depend on other peoples’ compliments to feel good about yourself. You will no longer depend on the drugs, alcohol, nightlife, etc., to feel satisfied, because the Spirit of the living God will be ENOUGH for you!

“But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.” (Jude 1:20,21)

Yes, He is enough for those who have communion with Him. It is not enough to simply say, ‘I go to church,’ because if you do not have a relationship with God, the church building will not be able to save you. One must have a sincere relationship with God, not only to fill the void they have inside but to also guarantee their eternal life with Him.

May the God of the Bible bless you
