Stop looking down on yourself.

Stop allowing negativity to dictate your life.

Stop allowing the negative words of others to put you down.

Easier said than done right?

Everyone knows that whatever you surround yourself with will have an impact on you – be it the friends you keep, socialnetworks or even the shows that you binge watch. If you are constantly involved in it, you will unconsciously absorb its beliefs and even practices.

If you are receiving positive information then that is good. But perhaps the information you grew up hearing was all negative:that you are not good enough and that you will amount to nothing. Instead of those childhood scars healing, they are only made worse because as an adult, you hear the same thing from your spouse and even your children. And it has gotten to the point that you no longer even have the strength to fight back and to reject those negative words. Perhaps you’ve even given up trying to live better and be better.

Let me tell you again:

Stop looking down on yourself.

Stop allowing negativity to dictate your life.

Stop allowing the negative words of others to put you down.

And this is how you will do it:

For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’ (Isaiah 41:13)

God is going to help you.

Remember the playground bully that spread fear throughout the school. He was tough… until he met your big brother! God is your big brother, He will help you to overcome the past, He will give you the strength to start again.

God believes in you, even when you don’t believe in yourself. He wants to put an end to that “I’m not good enough” complexbut unlike all the negativity that you have experienced, God will never force Himself into your life. He waits and yearns for you to invite Him in.

Do it today. Start afresh. Listen to the One voice that will never put you down or make you feel like you are not good enough.

May the God of the Bible Bless you.
