It’s really convenient and nice to have the power to put things on hold when you need to. To postpone a meeting you are not prepared for, or even to simply not answer the door when a company comes knocking on your door. But my friend, there is a “knock” that no one will be able to postpone, delay or reschedule…

No one wakes up in the morning and says, “I think I will get into a fatal accident today.” That knock on our door is the one we can’t postpone nor ignore. Yes my friend, the best we can do when the knock comes, is simply be prepared. Because death does not discriminate on age, neither waits for anyone! Once it knocks, it knocks.

Our body will perish, but our soul will live on forever. The question is, where will your soul spend eternity? While you have the opportunity, place your soul in God’s hands. Surrender your soul to Him 100%, so that when you get the knock you may be prepared to answer the door!

“But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’”

(Luke 12:20)

Many make plans while they are living: plans for their future, family, etc. However, very few people plan for the day that death comes knocking on their door. Be a part of this few, by surrendering yourself to God daily. It doesn’t matter whoever you are or whatever you’ve done, right now you can make yourself ready!

Stop what you’re planning on doing for the next few minutes and ask Jesus for forgiveness and surrender your life to Him completely! And I promise you whether it’s today, tomorrow, or 50 years from now, when you get that knock on your door, you will welcome it with open arms as you will see, it will be our Lord Jesus claiming your soul!

May the God of the Bible bless you
