How many times have you heard someone say, “Don’t forget about me”? Even when a person is leaving their home town and moving somewhere far from home for a better life, family or friends will say, “Don’t forget me.”

Or maybe it’s that young man leaving his community to pursue his career in basketball or football, and his friends, while saying their goodbyes, add in a “Don’t forget me, ok.”

One thing that you will never see is someone telling a rival, “Don’t forget me.” On the contrary, they want to be forgotten by them.

When someone says that they will not forget you, it’s like a verbal commitment to do good by you, even if others forget about you.

There is a Bible verse that asks the following question to bring this point across regarding mankind and God. Look what it says:

“Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you.” (Isaiah 49:15)

This is more than a verbal agreement, this is God asking the questions, and He Himself is answering. He says that He will not forget you, and you must believe and trust in these words more than you would trust a family or friend that made this statement.

I have good news for you: God WILL NOT forget you! Maybe your lawyer has forgotten about you, your doctor, your parents, or anyone else has forgotten you, but the Lord is telling you, “I have not forgotten you.”

No matter how long you are going through this situation, He sees and knows the right time to change it.

Your part is to believe and trust in Him as you use your faith in action to materialize the blessings that He promised. Don’t doubt, He’s not a man to lie.

May the God of the Bible bless you.
