What is the opposite of a secret? The opposite of a secret is for it to be known.

What is the latest subject on everyone’s lips these days? It is not a secret.

Sickness… quarantine… social distancing… etc. Wherever you go you hear about it; not to mention on every TV station, radio, etc. And with so much negativity circulating there is no doubt that it causes fear and doubt and makes people scared!

Of course, you have to take care of yourself because you are God’s temple. You should not just go around and say, “I don’t fear any disease, whatever comes my way, can come.” No, you need to protect yourself!

But when you are in the Secret Place of God Most High… when you are sure of your salvation… when you have communion with God… you take care also of your soul and not just the body that is temporary. And you will be reassured that He is with you.

Look at what the Word of God says:

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

(Psalm 91:1)

IF you are under his protection, you don’t need to live in fear. Of course, you will use your intelligence and follow the directions given by the authorities but you will not allow fear to cripple you!

The Word of God prepared us for this a long time ago.

For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be  famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.

(Matthew 24:7)

But the Lord Jesus also went on to say,

“and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

(Matthew 28:20)

This is a matter of faith and each person must live according to his or her own faith and at the same time showing respect to those who don’t have the same faith.

But I think we all can agree that fear is not the answer. Not only in the current state of the world but whenever evil attacks.

Whether you are reading this and you are a regular churchgoer or an unbeliever, I say to you, that God is with you from this very moment! Let Him strengthen and comfort you in every moment of crisis from now on, and you will not melt inside when you hear bad news.

May the God of the Bible bless you
