“Oh God, why did you have to take my son so soon?”

“Jesus, tell me why everything in my marriage is going wrong?”

“It’s not fair God, how did I end up in this hospital / prison / financial mess …………………?” (You can fill out the blank)

There are things you experience in life that leave you confused; you just don’t understand why. You try to figure out how everything ended up so pear-shaped and you get frustrated at the lack of answers.

How many times have you asked God questions similar to those above? How many times has He answered you?

Probably none.

That’s because our God is not a God of confusion. I am pretty sure He knew very well that humankind would blame him for basically every disappointment in life, and so He made sure to include this verse in the Bible:

“For God is not the author of confusion but of peace.”

(1 Corinthians 14:33)

Those eleven words can answer all of your questions in one go!

So, if God doesn’t cause confusion, then who does?

Satan, obviously.

Whatever bad things are happening in your life, are not caused by God, so instead of asking Him, ‘Why?’, you should rebuke the devil in order to put an end to your problems.

And another thing, don’t rebuke Satan courteously. If a stray dog enters your house to eat your last meal are you going to politely ask it to leave? Of course not! You will chase it away! You must do the same with evil.

Don’t let it enter your life and certainly don’t politely ask it to leave. Use the power that you have – the name of Jesus – to rebuke the devil. And then instead of turning against God, turn to Him, since He is the author of peace.

Once you have this understanding, then you will no longer bow before problems.

May the God of the Bible bless you.
