Picture yourself eating your favorite meal, deliciously prepared by your mother. We all know there is no cooking like that of a mother!

You take your time and eat to enjoy and savor the moment. Some people even close their eyes at the first bite. No one rushes when they are enjoying a  delicious meal.

The Word of God should be treated the same. The Word of God is a delicious dish that you have to eat bit by bit. You can not eat it fast, otherwise you are not going to taste what you are eating.

The Word of God is for you to read and meditate on it. This is what I encourage you to do daily. Don’t see it as a moment of bible study, don’t see it as a message, see it as a moment for you to receive advise from God Himself.

Otherwise you will just read and say amen, but afterwards if someone asked you what message you received you will have no answer to give.

And worst of all, you will not be filled, and will not know how to apply it in your life.

Take your time with the Word of God, so that it can nourish you.

May the God of the Bible bless you.
