Have you ever witnessed a game of poker? Notice how the people who are playing are able to conceal their facial expressions and emotions, keeping a straight face against their opponent. Now notice how long that lasts…not very long at all! Sooner or later, someone breaks and loses the game. Well, that is simply a game, but in life it is no different.

No matter how much a person may try to hide how they are feeling inside, either using a fake smile plastered on the lips or a having ‘carefree’ expression, their face reflects what is truly inside of them. The way they are inside is revealed through their countenance.

“As in water, face reflects face, so a man’s heart reveals the man.” (Proverbs 27:19)

My friend, the face tells it all! What is your face revealing?

When a person is bitter inside, their face tells it all. Perhaps the bitterness is a result of many years of suffering with problems, diseases, betrayals, pains, etc., and you may even say ‘I did not ask for this bitterness.” But hey, that bitter face can be transformed into a sweet one!

When Moses came down from Mount Sinai, his face was shining.

“Now it was so, when Moses came down from Mount Sinai (and the two tablets of the Testimony were in Moses’ hand when he came down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone while he talked with Him.” (Exodus 34:29)

God transformed his bitter face into a shining one, and God wants to take this bitter life that you have and give you a sweet one. As in the times of Moses, God transformed the bitter water into sweet water, God will put an end all bitterness in your life.

“Now when they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter…so Moses cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet.(Exodus 15:23,25)

Use your faith and this bitterness will turn into a sweet and pleasant blessing in your life.

May the God of the Bible bless you
