When you are kind to someone or do something nice for someone that you don’t know well or that has never done anything nice for you before, most likely they will be surprised. They’ll be surprised because we live in a world full of selfish people that only care about what is good for themselves. So to see someone care and invest in another is surprising.

But that should not be surprising because that is the way the people of God are supposed to be. It’s written,

Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common. Acts 4:32

These believers shared! And a person that is truly of God shares. They want what’s best not only for themselves but also for others. Of course in this world it will seem strange. It will even make people ask (as one lady did in a prison where we were doing an outreach project), “why do you care?” And the truth is they may not understand your answer. But the answer is, we care because He cared and cares.

God has always cared and always given and He expects the same attitude from His people.

Lets put this into practice everyday. Remembering the more we give the more we receive. And that’s in every way.

May the God of the Bible Bless You
