There is a popular saying that goes, “I heard it through the grapevine”. Most of you have heard this a time or two in your life. Someone came to you either serious or casually saying… “I heard through the grapevine that this or that is going to happen, or already happened”. But what a person heard through the grapevine cannot be trusted, because it was passed on from one person to the next and no one knows what was added or subtracted.

The same happens when you watch the news or read a newspaper, you may even believe the story, but you don’t know for sure if it is completely true or not. The funny thing is, many people read the news and consider it as law. Whatever is written or spoken by the media they believe without question. No doubt, the media is helpful in notifying us about many things, but the problem is, many of the same people that are so quick to believe the media, completely disbelieve the Word of God.

News gets old the next day, and within a few days, no one is even interested anymore because it is old news. But the Word of God is forever current and forever powerful. It never gets old and never stops having value. Yet in the world, they believe in local news more than the Good News. And that is why so many people live a life of failures and defeats.

If you want to see a change in your life, you have to stop listening to what the world says and learn to follow only what God says. You can listen to or watch the news to stay informed about what’s happening in society, but don’t put your faith or trust in what is spoken on it. Your trust and dependency should be on the Word of God alone.

And perhaps you may ask, but how can I say that I am sure that it is true and more trustworthy? The answer is easy, just look at how many lives have been changed and are still being changed every day because of the Word of God. That is all the proof you need that it is alive and strong and never gets old.

Put your trust one hundred percent upon Gods Word. Obey it and live by it, and watch and see the transformation that you see in your life. Don’t forget… It is written,

God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Numbers 23:19
