This past Monday, most of the world was at a party, family gathering, or somewhere watching and celebrating the New Year. Many spent hundreds, if not thousands on their fun and entertainment. But little did they know that they were not celebrating alone. 

At the same time as the world was celebrating a new year, the evil spirits were also celebrating their plan to cause death and destruction in the next year. Many tragedies happen at the beginning of the year. Many rapes, murders, suicides, overdoses, etc. And the devil loves to celebrate his “victories”. 

Pay close attention and you will see that many tragedies happen right at the start of the year. Because satan knows his time is short. It is even written;

Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time. Revelation 12:12

Satan will continue raining down destruction upon this world, because he is the ruler of the world. The only way to not be overcome by him, is to start and finish this year in the presence of God. You need to spend the entire year serving God with your life. Don’t listen to that voice that says “a life with God is boring or that you will lose your freedom and not be able to enjoy life.” 

Life in the presence of God is a life of assurance and victory, peace inside, strength to stay faithful and overcome every battle, joy, fulfillment, etc. God has a complete life ready for you. But you must stop giving satan reasons to celebrate victory over you.
