If you tell a person that you will do something, you expect them to take you at your word. Wouldn’t you feel at least a little offended if you told someone that you would do something and they act like you are not telling the truth or as if they can not trust your word? Yes, because you know that if you say something then that means you mean it.

We can not be doubtful, we can not ask God for something and doubt at the same time. When you ask the Lord, you should believe that He will be the one to answer you.

But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. James 1:6-8

If your life is unstable it is because your faith is unstable. One day you believe and the next day you don’t believe. One day you believe in God and the next day you doubt His word. Don’t think that like this you will achieve something from God. In order for you to achieve and receive anything from the Lord, you need to ask with faith. Do not be like the wave of the sea that comes and goes. Either you believe or you don’t.

Elijah said to the people “How long will you waver between two thoughts”, and many are wavering between two thoughts. God cannot be your last resort. You believe in Him as a second option, you believe and ask Him as a backup, just in case your first choice doesn’t work out. God must be our number one, you can not waver between two thoughts.

And when He is truly your number one, you surrender your entire life to Him and leave no backup plan, because you realize that He is enough.

May the God of the Bible bless all of you!
