In the world we live in, everyone is seeking to know more than the next person. A doctor wants to know more than other doctors. A lawyer wants to know the law better than other lawyers. An athlete wants to know more about the sport that he plays or the position he plays than others. Everyone wants to be the one that knows the most so that they can be the best.

Well, with God it should be the same. Of course, we should not strive to know more than others so that we can think we are better than them, but we should strive with all of our strength to know who God is and understand Him and His will as much as is possible. But how can I know Him if He doesn’t speak to me audibly? There is only one way… through His Word.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you… Hosea 4:6

When you open the Bible to read, you are receiving a message from Heaven. Just like when you read a book, you are drinking the spirit of that writer; that’s why you must be careful with the books you read. When you are watching a TV show or a movie, you are watching what is on the screenwriter’s mind. They are trying to tell you something.

At the Universal Church, we teach you to read the Bible. Do not be brainwashed by anybody, not by the pastor, not by the bishop, not by me…Nobody! When you watch the ‘Showdown of Faith’ on TV, you are watching us talk about what is written in the Bible. In the services, we tell you what is written in the Bible. The only source that you should trust one hundred percent is the Word of God.

You should read the Bible every day. As you eat every day so should you read your Bible every day, this way you know if what we are telling you is true or a lie. That way no one can deceive you.

May the God of the Bible bless all of you!
