Whenever we honor the Lord, He promises to honor us!

“For those who honor Me I will honor…” 1 Samuel 2:30

We do not physically see God because He is Spirit, but when we return to Him the first fruits we are honoring Him and in return we see Him when He honors us.
For example, when I receive my paycheck and go ahead and spend it buying A, B, C, and D, I am not honoring God first, I am honoring those things that I bought or paid for. When we honor God first we are saying to Him, “Lord you are number one in my life”. By doing this I highly doubt that God won’t honor you in return.

By giving the tithes you are not giving money to an institution, to a church or to a pastor. You are honoring the Lord. I know that there are churches out there that say you do not need to give your tithes because it is written in the old testament. But, in the new testament Jesus said:

“Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” Matthew 22:21

Give to Caesar means pay the taxes, we honor and respect the government when we pay the taxes. The same goes for God, He must be the first that we honor. Just like for example at a birthday party the first slice of cake is usually given to the person being honored. When we give to Him first we are showing that we honor Him and He is going to Honor us.

Whenever you receive any money in your hands, Honor the Lord with the first 10%, not just 10% but the FIRST 10%. When you give Him the first fruit, the Lord then blesses your 90%, He increases your salary, rebukes the devourer and prospers you. Honor the Lord and the Lord Shall Honor you.

May the God of the Bible bless you,
