You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned?
Matthew 5:13
If a person loses their flavor, like the salt, how can this person be seasoned?
Think with me. If a bottle of salt loses its flavor, can you season your food with it? No. So then what can you do with that salt? Absolutely nothing! You throw it away because it has no flavor and is of no use to you.
Spiritually speaking, when a person loses their flavor (the flavor means your faith, your communion with God) then they become useless. It’s like the backsliders. You may know of someone who used to be in church, used to be very active, you thought he was a man of God, maybe even a pastor, a deacon, a reverend… You thought that person was highly anointed. Now when you look at the person, he is downcast, sad, broken, lifeless.
When you try to invite this person back to church. It seems like he never read the bible. It seems like they have never even seen the Bible. The word enters in one ear and leaves through the other. When a person loses their faith, they will be trampled by man and by the devil, day and night.
My friend don’t ever lose your faith. Make sure that you take care of your faith. How? By reading the Bible, praying, coming to the services, fasting, sacrificing, etc. So that you can keep your faith strong and so that you will never become tasteless and never end up trampled by the devil.
May the God of the Bible Bless you.

unfortunately, you don’t have a church in Virginia. I do travel for three hours to DC/MD area to see my family when I feel well to do so. That’s how I was able to visit your SS, MD church with Pastor David twice. Since I was in therapy for Lymphoma Cancer, and I claim that it no longer exist in my body ,because God has healed me 100% I should be traveling to the area for the 4th of July and plan to visit one of the churches in the area and get some much needed water to get rid of this demon and curse that refuse to depart from me and my family. Good to know you have live stream church on Sundays. Wish I had spent more time visiting your church when I lived in NJ, and didn’t know you had a church when I transferred to Houston in 2014. NowI’m in Virginia where my daughter is during my health issue. This message from you is very timely, because I am very tired of not being able to move forward, and the feeling of why am I here breathing air and not enjoying any part of my life.
